can I use QuickDebit for?
|
For
depositing where payroll deduction is
not available or if you prefer to have
your transaction account elsewhere,
QuickDebit can be used for regular or
one off payments and, once you’ve set
it up, it all happens
automatically. |

Do
I have to fill out a Request Form every
time?
|
No,
you can use QuickDebit to make regular
or one off payments. Once you have
filled out the Request Form you can
transfer funds to your Credit Union at
anytime using a simple request
phone/fax/email for regular or one off
transactions to occur. |

I use QuickDebit to SAVE? |
Yes,
you can use QuickDebit to make regular
or one off payments to your Christmas
Club or any other Credit Union savings
or investment account. |

I use QuickDebit to lodge a Term
Deposit? |
Yes,
you can use QuickDebit to authorise your
Credit Union to transfer funds from a
transaction account with any other
financial institution. |

Can
I pay my loan using QuickDebit? |
Yes,
if your salary is paid into a non-credit
union account you can use QuickDebit to
have the necessary amount transferred
from your salary account to your credit
union loan account – on time, every
time, until the loan is repaid. |

Can
I make additional payments on my loan
using QuickDebit? |
Yes,
you can use QuickDebit to have the money
transferred from your non-credit union
statement or passbook account to your
loan account to pay off your loan
quicker. |

I pay my VISA Credit Card using
QuickDebit? |
Yes,
if you have a hmcstaff VISA Credit Card
but you want to pay it off from a
non-credit union savings account, you
can use QuickDebit to have the correct
amount transferred automatically from
your savings account each month on the
due date. |
| How
do I apply? |
Read
the QuickDebit
Service Agreement, complete the QuickDebit
Request
Form and fax/post/email the completed form to your Credit
Union. |
| How
soon are funds deposited by QuickDebit
cleared? |
Funds
deposited by QuickDebit take two days to
clear but this will not affect application
of the funds to a loan, investment or term
deposit. |
| Can
I use Online Banking to debit my other
accounts using QuickDebit? |
No,
but this is a feature which will shortly
be added to the Online Banking
facility. |
| What
fees and charges apply to QuickDebit? |
A
successful QuickDebit transaction is a fee free transaction.
A
fee of $15.00 (to cover costs) may be
applied if your request is rejected by
the other financial institution and, as
a result, your Credit Union incurs
costs.
Standard
Transaction Fees and Government charges
may apply as per your Credit Union's "Equality
and Equity" page for other
transactions on your account.
